About this role

Join our global team of cyber security experts.  Defend against cyber threats and develop exciting capabilities on the frontline of cyber defense.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a member of the Cyber Threat Intelligence Team, focus on open and closed source research to independently monitor, identify, and track online communication about potential threats from various actors. Sources include deep and dark web channels, blog posts, social media, intelligence reports, and more. 
  • Create, maintain, and monitor custom searches and alerting in vendor platforms, threat intelligence platforms (TIPs), and security information and event management systems (SIEMs)
  • Create and maintain structured threat knowledge in a TIP to effectively track threats
  • Analyze and identify unique or emerging threat behaviors to develop new detection analytics
  • Propose new methods, processes, collection sources, and products to help achieve our mission and enhance workflows

Qualifications:

  • Team player that is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in cyber threat intelligence, threat research, or threat hunting. Actively stays current with the latest threats and investigative techniques
  • In-depth understanding of the threat intelligence cycle and cyber operations
  • Operational experience using MITRE ATT&CK Framework, the Diamond Model of Intrusion Analysis, and STIX 2.1
  • Proven experience in conducting deep and dark web research, including monitoring cybercriminal forums, marketplaces, and other communication platforms used by cyber threat actors 
  • Skilled in gathering intelligence from publicly available sources, including specialize search engines, public records, metadata mapping, image analysis, reverse image searches, and geolocation techniques
  • Understanding of operational security best practices
  • Demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication 
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to cross-reference and interpret data from multiple sources

Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. For Atlanta, GA Only the salary range for this position is USD$120,000.00 - USD$148,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance. For Wilmington, DE Only the salary range for this position is USD$110,000.00 - USD$138,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
