Job Description
The BAE Systems Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) is looking for a SecOps-inspired full stack developer intern. This intern will help experienced developers solve complex cyber defense challenges by creating custom applications integrating with other state-of-the-art defense systems. These solutions are often needed rapidly and focused on automation, detection, and data collection. The intern will also work closely with and develop solutions for other teams on the GSOC including Operations, Threat Intelligence, Malware Analysis, Endpoint Threat Detection, and Insider Threat.

Full-Time Salary Range: $57200 - $77220
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.

Technical Requirements
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and programming languages
- Background in software development
- Interest in system management, database design, backend development, and frontend development
- Ability to deploy and manage applications on Linux-based servers and containers
- Ability to document code and solutions
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with other developers and security analysts
- Student Status - Rising Senior status (current Juniors); OR current Seniors (graduating May or Dec).
- Citizenship requirements - U.S. Person (Green Card and/or Citizenship)
- Compensation - The internship is paid on an hourly basis, up to 20 hours per week.
- No benefits are provided as part of this internship program. No housing or transportation is provided for this internship experience
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Student Status - Rising Senior status (current Juniors); OR current Seniors (graduating May or Dec).
- Must have experience in software development
- Pursuing Software Development, Computer Security, or Computer Science Degree
- Interest in cyber security and/or penetration testing
- Linux and containerization experience

- Infrastructure Management: Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, Salt, Nagios
- Databases: MongoDB, Redis, MySQL/MariaDB
- Backend: Rust, Python, NodeJS, Flask, Express, Websockets
- Frontend: TypeScript, React, Sass
- OS: Linux in general, RHEL, Ubuntu
