We are looking for a technically minded and motivated analyst to join our team. This is an excellent entry level opportunity for someone with strong academic background in information technology and foundational experience in IT risk. You will be given the opportunity to evolve into a more hands-on technical contributor, helping drive cybersecurity, risk assessments, and the development of risk mitigation solutions. 

Key Accountabilities/Deliverables:

  • Assist in the technical assessment and analysis of IT systems and applications for security vulnerabilities and risk exposures. 

  • Work closely with infrastructure and application teams to conduct risk reviews and support remediation efforts. 

  • Gather and analyze technical data from various tools (vulnerability scanners, SIEM platforms, etc.). 

  • Support the development of automated solutions for IT risk reporting and monitoring. 

  • Develop scripts to assist with risk data analysis, monitoring and alerting.

  • Participate in audits, penetration testing, and controls testing. 

  • Contribute to the improvement of risk and security policies. 

  • Stay up to date with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements. 

Technical Knowledge and Understanding:

  • Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, and cloud technologies. 

  • Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001), cyber regulations (NYDFS ch. 500, Insurance Data Security Acts, SEC, etc.) 

  • Exposure to scripting or coding preferred.

  • Understanding of cloud security principles preferred

Experience:

  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field required.  

  • Internship or prior experience in IT risk management, security compliance or IT operations. 

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills. 

  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
