About Every

At Every we're reimagining back-office operations for startups. Our platform simplifies finance, compliance, HR, and more - helping founders stay focused on building, not paperwork. We offer everything a startup needs in one place: Banking, Cards, Bill Payments, Bookkeeping, Tax, HR, Payroll, and Benefits-all with 10x better workflows using AI. We're a Series A startup backed by YC and Redpoint Ventures (Instacart, Stripe, Ramp), growing fast, and building a world-class team.

The Role:

You'll be the first person our customers meet after they sign up and the person they rely on throughout their entire onboarding journey.

As an Onboarding Specialist, you're the single point of contact for new customers: you'll run live Zoom sessions to configure payroll and bookkeeping, coordinate across Every's internal teams, chase down what's needed, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks until the customer is fully live.

This role requires someone who can hold a room on a Zoom call, manage a complex web of tasks across multiple teams simultaneously, and respond to customers before they have to ask twice.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new customers from contract signature through go-live

  • Lead Zoom onboarding calls to configure payroll, bookkeeping, taxes, and other Every products, walking customers through setup step by step

  • Coordinate internally across Every's Payroll, Tax, Bookkeeping, and other product teams to ensure customer tasks are completed on time

  • Own the full contract process: send, track, follow up, and confirm signatures

  • Update billing systems accurately when contracts are executed

  • Proactively manage open items, deadlines, and dependencies across multiple customer onboardings simultaneously

  • Surface blockers early and drive resolution, whether the issue sits with the customer or internally

  • Respond to customer inquiries quickly and clearly, same-day, always

  • Build and refine onboarding playbooks as we scale

You'll be a great fit if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.

  • 1-3 years of experience in an onboarding, customer success, or relevant role

  • Exceptional communicator: clear, confident, and polished on video calls with founders and executives

  • Extremely detail-oriented: you catch what others miss and you never let a task go stale

  • Strong project coordination instincts: you can manage many moving pieces across multiple teams without losing track

  • Highly responsive by nature: you treat unanswered messages as unfinished work

  • Organized and systems-driven: you build structure

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and figuring things out in a fast-moving environment

  • Quick to learn new tools and technology

  • Bonus: exposure to payroll, bookkeeping, fintech, or financial operations

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a mission-driven startup solving real problems for founders

  • Work alongside experienced builders in a low-ego, high-ownership environment

  • Competitive comp + meaningful equity

  • Great health benefits, flexible hours, generous PTO

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
