Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Customer Marketer focused on helping drive our PTC Customer Reference Program and enhancing our partnership with PTC/ User, our independent, customer-led user group. Customers supported by our programs will highlight their digital transformation and gain value from collaborating with other customers.

This role is pivotal in helping customers take advantage of the new Customer Reference Program. The team is dedicated to cultivating a strong network of engaged customer advocates who showcase the value of our solutions. You’ll help support a program that enables sales, marketing, and customer success teams with credible, real-world proof points that drive growth, build trust, and reinforce PTC‘s leadership. Our mission is to streamline access to impactful references, ensuring the right story reaches the right audience at the right time.​

PTC / User helps bring end users from our products together for two large-scale conferences, regional user group events, the PTC community, and technical committees that collaborate directly with product management. You’ll be part of a team working directly with their board of directors, helping to define the partnership, align branding and promotional assets, amplify our programs with their audience and their programs on our website.

The ideal candidate will be adept at collaborating across teams, writing, editing and adapting content to make it work for communications at scale, , creative and scrappy, with new ideas, a great work ethic, and willing to walk the line between what is speedy and what is strategic. We’re a customer-obsessed team, with their experience always top of mind.

Key Responsibilities:

Reference Program:

  • Collaborative Initiatives: Work closely with internal teams in marketing, sales and customer success to help align top priority references, unlock the right approach with the customer, and accelerate marketing asset production to support our industry stories.
  • Tracking and Visibility: Help bring internal teams up to speed on Reference View: our new Customer Storytelling Database and other assets that will help us scale reference usage and recruitment.
  • Shadow Reference Production and Master the Pitch: Acquaint yourself with the end-to-end reference process - Be a part of the prioritization, internal planning and strategy, bundle creation, and interview process with high impact customer reference recruitment
  • Communication Channels: Open and maintain lines of communication, amplifying reference content, process updates, and our reference newsletter ‘drumbeat’ updates for GTM teams

PTC/User Partnership:

  • Collaborative Initiatives: Work closely with PTC/User to enhance the partnership, focusing on mutual goals and shared success.
  • Event Participation: Promote and support PTC/User events, including the Global Summit, ensuring better booth presence and strategic engagement.
  • Recognition Programs: Develop and implement recognition programs for PTC/User members and supermembers, amplifying their contributions through community and LinkedIn highlights, gifts, and communications.

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships.
  • Analytical: Ability to synthesize information and insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Project Management: Confidence to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Adaptability: An open mindset ready to learn on the job and lead high-impact opportunities within PTC.

Example Assignments:

Internal Promotion of Adoption and Reference Content: Help internal teams adopt new reference processes and tools. Support the beta launch of the Reference View tool for sales, marketing, and customer success. Communicate internally, provide tips and tricks, offer encouragement, and track the timeline and results.

Supporting PTC User Conferences: Enhance booth presence and strategic engagement at PTC/User events, including the Global Summit. Ensure better visibility and interaction with attendees.

Newsletter and Calendar Development: Gather and compile content for our reference update ‘drumbeat’ internal newsletter

PTC User Branding Workshop: Support a branding workshop for PTC /  User, acting as a liaison to their board of directors. Facilitate discussions on branding strategies and promotional assets to align with mutual goals.

PTC carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, which include a candidate’s background and experience, in determining salary for a position. Compensation will vary based on these factors, but PTC anticipates the annual salary range for this position to be between 80,000-90,000. The actual pay may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.  Every PTC employee has the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program which allows employees to purchase discounted PTC stock and, for eligible roles, an equity grant.
