We’re looking for an experienced Insight Copywriter to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to shape how we communicate insight across the organisation — turning sophisticated data into compelling stories that drive action, influence decisions, and inspire change.

About the role

We’re looking for an Insight Copywriter assistant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills in storytelling and insight communication, helping to turn sophisticated data into clear, engaging narratives that support decision-making and drive positive change.

About the role:

You’ll support the team in crafting compelling content from customer insights, behavioural trends, and market research. Working alongside analysts, researchers, and senior writers, you’ll help bring clarity to complexity and ensure our insights are accessible, memorable, and actionable.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is passionate about writing, curious about data, and eager to learn how storytelling can influence business outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Translate data and research into clear, compelling copy for a range of audiences and formats.

  • Create stories that bring insight to life customer understanding and impact across written reports, presentations, and strategic documents.

  • Collaborate with insight analysts, researchers, marketers, and team mates to shape content around customer behaviour and business objectives.

  • Ensure consistency of tone, clarity, and impact across all insight communications.

  • Learn and apply storytelling best practices to support the wider insight function.

Skills required:

  • Proven experience in copywriting, content strategy, or storytelling — ideally within financial services, consultancy, or a data-driven environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (M365) tools — especially Word, PowerPoint, and Teams — to create, collaborate, and present insight-driven content effectively

  • An interest in customer insight, behavioural data, and research communication.

  • Some experience in writing, editing, and conceptual thinking skills. Ability to simplify ideas without losing nuance or meaning.

And it’s why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups. We're disability confident. So, if you’d like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.

If you are excited by the thought of becoming part of our team, get in touch.

We keep your data safe. So, we'll only ever ask you to provide confidential or sensitive information once you have formally been invited along to an interview or accepted a verbal offer to join us which is when we run our background checks.  We'll always explain what we need and why, with any request coming from a trusted Lloyds Banking Group person.

We're focused on creating a values-led culture and are committed to building a workforce which reflects the diversity of the customers and communities we serve. Together we’re building a truly inclusive workplace where all of our colleagues have the opportunity to make a real difference.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
