At Cúram by Merative, we’re transforming how health and human services are delivered—helping caseworkers spend less time on systems and more time supporting people. Ready to shake up social services with smart tech and real impact?

Curam is hunting for experienced functional consultants who are passionate about making a difference—and having a little fun along the way. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the world’s most influential organizations, helping them solve complex problems and level up their operations by modernizing their technology to better support society’s most vulnerable. Your deep expertise and sharp insights will drive smarter solutions that actually matter—improving lives and ROI. From big-picture strategy to nitty-gritty delivery, you’ll play a key role in making sure technology implementations go smoothly and make a lasting difference in people’s daily lives. If you love tech, thrive on solving real-world challenges, and want to be part of a growing team that’s passionate, driven, and just a bit nerdy (in the best way)—we want to hear from you.

How you will contribute:

  • Develop expertise in CBAS to gather and define requirements through client interviews and workshops.
  • Lead fit/gap analysis sessions to align business requirements with Cúram standard features and identify necessary functional extensions.
  • Design functional specifications and configure CBAS to meet client needs.
  • Act as a liaison between technical staff and client subject matter experts to support solution development.
  • Plan and execute system tests to verify proper configuration and functional coverage.
  • Mentor teams and stakeholders on Cúram out-of-the-box (OOTB) functionality in relation to client requirements.
  • Collaborate with testing teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage; review and refine test cases and strategies.
  • Provide insights into the Cúram data model, including entities, attributes, and relationships.
  • Build trust and maintain strong client relationships by offering practical and strategic solutions.

About You

  • Proven ability to deliver effective written communications and presentations.
  • Experience in business process analysis (e.g., use cases, process flows) and solution design (e.g., gap analysis).
  • Proficiency in screen design, storyboarding, and quality assurance including test case development.
  • Leadership experience facilitating Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions.
  • Strong background in working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software, such as SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Siebel, Lawson, Harmony, CGI, etc.
  • Deep familiarity with the Cúram product suite, especially in developing integrated solutions for human services, labor, health, social security, and military or veterans’ agencies.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 2- 5 years of experience in IT business analyst consulting
  • At least 2- 5 years of experience working with Cúram software products and services
  • Minimum 2- 5 years of experience with business processes in human services domains (e.g., welfare, medical assistance, child protection, child support, eligibility, health insurance)

At least 2- 5 years of experience in a consulting role within a large professional services organization

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
