Role:  Creator Lead

Location:  Los Angeles Arts District, hybrid 2-3 days in office

Type:  Full-Time

Compensation:  $90-110K base + Performance-Based Bonus

The Role

We’re looking for a Creator Lead to own the strategy and drive the execution of creator-led content (UGC, self-tapes, creator edits) within a portfolio of brands.

This is a creative strategy role that analyzes performance data and turns those insights into creator-led execution: prototyping new creative approaches by filming yourself, writing briefs that scale, identifying and coaching creators to deliver, and managing the pipeline that turns one strategic idea into dozens of pieces of content.

You’re not just strategizing, you’re embedded in the creative process: making content, giving notes, and raising the bar for what creator-led work looks like at TubeScience.

What You’ll Do

🧠 Own the creator strategy for your brands - developing winning angles and messaging frameworks by analyzing proprietary performance data along with conducting consumer, product, and competitor research

✍️Translate your strategic insights into repeatable creator briefs with clear, actionable direction that creators can run with: connecting performance metrics and brand goals to what actually gets shot

🎯  Own the execution pipeline for all UGC, self-tapes, and creator edits within your portfolio of 5-10 DTC brands, spanning categories like beauty, wellness, food & beverage, pet, apps, and more

🎬 Prototype new creative approaches on camera — shooting proofs of concept yourself to validate ideas before scaling them through the network

📊  Use performance data to guide what you and your team shoot next, iterating quickly on what’s working and killing what isn’t

⚡ Drive execution with speed and autonomy, rapidly turning around concepts, testing at volume, and iterating based on real-time performance

Who You Are

🎭  You bring 3+ years of experience creating content for social media and directing or coaching other creators

💡  You have real performance marketing experience and understand it deeply — you know what a hook rate is, why thumbstop matters, and how to connect creative decisions to data

💎  You’re strong on camera and behind it — you can shoot and perform in UGC-style content well enough to prototype ideas and set the standard for your team

👁️  You have strong instincts for matching talent to briefs — you can look at a creative direction and immediately know the right kind of person to execute it, and you have a point of view on what makes a creator great

💬  You give creators clear, constructive feedback that actually makes their work better without killing their energy or authenticity — they love working with you

📋  You stay organized across multiple brands, creators, and briefs simultaneously without letting things fall through the cracks

🎨  You have deep fluency in digital content culture — you know what’s trending, what’s working, and what feels real versus what feels forced

🗣️  You communicate clearly — translating performance data into creative direction and interfacing seamlessly with cross-functional partners and a roster of freelance creators

📍  You’re based in Los Angeles — this role requires regular in-person presence at our Arts District studio

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
