At QuickFrame by MNTN, we’re part of a unique culture based on quality, trust, ambition, and accountability – but most importantly, we really enjoy working here. QuickFrame acts as the creative arm of the fastest-growing company in streaming, which includes MNTN (a self-serve AdTech platform) and Maximum Effort (Ryan Reynold’s brainchild and infamous creative agency.) Our startup spirit powers our growth mindset and supports our teammates as they build the future of ConnectedTV. We’re looking for people who naturally want to do more, own more, and make an impact in their careers – and we’re seeking someone to be part of our next stage of growth.

We are looking for a Creative Strategist who will be responsible for leading the creative direction and strategic planning for QuickFrame's clients. This role bridges the gap between client needs and creative solutions, ensuring that each project delivers meaningful results. You’ll be a trusted advisor for clients, guiding them through the creative process while also working closely with internal teams to ensure execution aligns with strategy.

What you’ll do

  • Client Consultation & Strategy Development: Collaborate with QuickFrame customers to define project scopes, uncover creative opportunities, and shape the strategic direction for their video content
  • Creative Optimization: Work with clients to assess existing creative assets, identify gaps, and propose recommendations for improving or enhancing future campaigns. On an ongoing basis, strive to deliver an exceptional customer experience through proactive communication and consistently offering ideas to drive better video outcomes and/or video performance
  • Market Insights: Stay ahead of industry trends and use insights specific to a client’s vertical to inform creative strategy. Ensure all recommendations align with business demands and audience preferences
  • Creative Inspiration & Guidance: Source and present relevant examples from a client’s vertical to inspire and guide creative development. Provide strategic advice on how these examples can be adapted or improved
  • Creative Audits: Using customer provided data, video assets, and other materials, work with the Creative Analytics team to review past video performance and assess what worked and what didn’t. Develop a comprehensive analysis with clear recommendations for improvement with ideas for new video formats, channels, and video trends to consider testing. Requires development and presentation of materials that consolidates strategic recommendations, data-driven insights, and relevant examples
  • Custom Proposals & Add-ons: Craft detailed proposals that outline custom production details and premium service options (e.g., talent, drone footage, HMU). Strategically pitch budget increases and/or channel upsell opportunities based on client objectives. Ensure clients understand how to get the most value from their production budget
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in weekly one-on-ones with your team lead to ensure alignment on priorities and strategic initiatives. Actively contribute in weekly team meetings to discuss client feedback, creative insights, and internal process improvements
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Creative Operations to communicate client needs, share strategic insights, and help refine production workflows
  • Stay Current with Industry Trends: Continuously stay updated on the latest developments in creative strategy, video production, and emerging trends. Share insights and best practices with clients, and internal teams
  • Resource Development: Contribute to the expansion and refinement of QuickFrame’s best practice library, ensuring resources are available for both internal teams and clients. Create or update templates, guidelines, and reference materials to drive efficiencies and consistency across the QuickFrame organization

What you’ll bring

  • 3-5 years in a customer-facing role within creative strategy, video production, marketing, or advertising. Experience in digital media, content strategy, or creative consulting is preferred
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to craft creative strategies that are informed by data and aligned with market trends and client goals
  • Problem-Solving: Skilled in identifying gaps in creative assets and proposing innovative, effective solutions that meet client needs and objectives
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively
  • Client-Facing Experience: Proven track record of working with clients to deliver strategic advice and build long-term relationships
  • Collaborative Mindset: Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and works effectively across departments
  • Creative Tools & Software: Familiarity with video production processes, creative analytics (e.g., FB ads library, Google analytics), SalesForce, Slack, Zoom, and basic Office tools

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
