About the Role

We’re looking for a Creative Strategist who lives at the intersection of data, psychology, and creativity.
This role is not about making things “look nice.”
It’s about building ad creatives that convert, scale, and keep working.
You’ll own creative strategy across paid social (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) — turning customer insights, performance data, and trends into winning ad concepts that drive revenue.
If you love breaking down why ads work, obsess over hooks and first 3 seconds, and think in testable frameworks, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

Creative Strategy & Ideation

  • Develop ad angles, hooks, and concepts rooted in customer pain points, reviews, UGC, and competitor research
  • Translate product features into clear, compelling value propositions
  • Build and maintain creative frameworks (problem → solution → proof → CTA)

Performance Analysis

  • Analyze creative performance and identify winning patterns
  • Diagnose why ads succeed or fail (not just CTR screenshots)
  • Monitor creative fatigue and recommend iterations or refreshes

Creative Briefing & Direction

  • Write clear, actionable creative briefs for designers, editors, and creators
  • Direct visual structure, messaging flow, hooks, CTAs, and platform placement
  • Ensure brand alignment while prioritizing conversion

Testing & Experimentation

  • Design structured creative testing plans (angles, hooks, formats, offers)
  • Control variables to isolate learnings
  • Document insights and turn them into repeatable systems

Collaboration

  • Work closely with media buyers, UGC managers, designers, and editors
  • Align creatives with landing pages, offers, and funnel strategy
  • Support scaling decisions with creative insights

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Creative Strategist, Performance Marketer, or similar role in e-commerce / DTC
  • Strong understanding of direct response marketing
  • Experience working with paid social platforms (Meta, TikTok, YouTube preferred)
  • Ability to think analytically and creatively
  • Comfortable making decisions based on data, not opinions
  • Excellent written communication (briefs matter here)

Bonus Points (Not Required)

  • TikTok Shop or UGC-heavy brand experience
  • Experience scaling winning creatives past initial tests
  • Familiarity with CRO and landing page optimization
  • Ability to source or coach UGC creators

How We Measure Success

  • Speed to first winning creative
  • CPA and ROAS improvements driven by creative
  • % of ad spend allocated to winning creatives
  • Reduction in creative fatigue
  • Consistency of learnings turned into repeatable wins

Why Join Us

  • Creative strategy is taken seriously here — this role has real influence
  • You’ll work directly with growth and decision-makers
  • Fast-moving environment with room to test, learn, and scale
  • No micromanagement, no fluff — just results

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
