MAJOR PURPOSE: Responsible for producing high caliber local advertising spots and promotional content for Nexstar’s San Diego duopoly, FOX 5 and KUSI.

JOB SUMMARY: FOX 5 San Diego and KUSI News is looking for a creative and innovative Creative Services Producer to execute high quality content for our advertising clients and news division and deliver the best production services in the market. The successful candidate is an experienced producer with exceptional communication, project management and client-facing experience. Candidates must be capable of overseeing production workflow from conception to delivery of all new local direct business projects for both stations as needed.

PRIMARY DUTIES: *Work independently to conceive, write, direct, produce, shoot and edit high concept commercial projects for stations’ sales clients.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Work with Creative Services team on all marketing efforts including news image, proof of brand spots and  lifestyle show promotion. 

*Maintain daily production schedule by organizing assignments, deadlines, and priorities.

*Communicate clearly with account executives and clients to establish clear expectations and timelines for every project.

*Work will require expert level, hands-on experience with camera and lighting equipment, Adobe CC Premiere Pro editing, Photoshop After Effects and associated software.

*Fluency with Microsoft Suite and other typical office software, along with an ability to learn additional Nexstar proprietary business software is also required

REQUIREMENTS: *4 years’ work experience in TV or film industry, with in-depth understanding of production process.

*Highly organized project manager with attention to detail.

*Must have high proficiency with marketing messaging and client management experience.

*Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

*Must poses a strong aptitude for production workflows with an exceptional mastery of creative writing, lighting, shooting, and editing of effective commercial content.

*Must be a versatile team player able to work creatively and collaboratively with other staff members.

*Must be self-directed and self-motivated with a professional appearance.

*BA Degree in film production or equivalent production experience.

*Work samples commensurate with major market or network level quality

*Four industry references, two personal references

*Compensation - $68-$75k commensurate with experience and skill level
