Position Overview

Saylor seeks a highly effective, exceptionally creative, and zeitgeist-obsessed Creative Producer to lead the creative development of social-first campaign and brand content that breaks through time and time again in feed for audiences.

The Creative Producer will be an integral piece of the creative ideation team while maintaining organization that takes projects to the finish line. You will collaborate with Accounts and Strategy to ensure your work delights clients and thrills audiences, driving them to share our content. You will work closely with design and AV teams, driving creative projects from inception to completion with confidence and grace, supporting the creative team every step of the way. You are relentlessly creative, detail-oriented, an amazing presenter and communicator, a strong collaborator, and trend-obsessed.

You are well-rounded in all areas of social media marketing with exceptional creative production, post and digital campaign experience. You have excellent communication skills and can engage all levels of contributors up to executive team members. You are obsessed with social media, marketing, post-production/editorial,  and trends. You are a creative problem solver and are invaluable to the success of your projects. You are comfortable working with different types of creative professionals and creative outputs and lead with kindness and curiosity.  

Location and Salary

This is a full-time, 2-month contract-to-hire position with an annual salary of $75,000-$105,000 based on experience. This role is based in Los Angeles, CA. There will be occasions when in-office presence, at either our Echo Park HQ or a client’s office, is required based on the needs of specific accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Creative Team on all aspects of a campaign, from conception to completion.
  • Creative partner to Strategy, attending brainstorms and ideation.
  • Acts as an expert partner on respective  content, IP, brief. 
  • Contributes to creation of decks and briefs with copy, references, etc. 
  • Shares responsibilities on scripts with Strategy and reviews before going into production.
  • Responsible for timelines and loose budget tracking.
    • Should be able to break down each ask and asset into their respective parts and know how long each one takes to make, flagging for any unusual or high-lift elements that may have been overlooked (e.g. 3D animation, motion capture, other speciality capabilities).
    • Note: Detailed budgeting will be done with the Head of Production and a Sr. Producer.
  • Responsible for overseeing treatments and shot lists for shoots in collaboration with the Design Team. 
  • Works with Post Supervisor  to appropriately resource editors, designers and motion designers.
  • Leads all internal KOs including full campaign and individual team (graphic, editorial, etc) and project meetings; when with client, AM will intro the call and set things up then pass off to CP for project updates. 
  • Is creative lead on shoots, responsible for production staffing and ensures the highest level of execution on set utilizing their deep production expertise while AM fosters positive on set experience for clients. 
  • Proactively asks questions and consolidates all client notes and feedback into concise and actionable steps
  • Works directly with creative makers (editors, designer etc) to execute and uplevel.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of creative producer experience with creative agencies, in-house creative marketing studios.
  • Experience producing high-touch video, motion design, and motion graphics.
  • Experience leading junior team members.
  • On-set production experience within an agency landscape. 
  • Professional experience with industry-standard creative tools (ex. Adobe Creative Cloud).
  • Online portfolio of work that shows entertainment campaign experience and high-level branded content.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Deep knowledge of social media best practices and current trends.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of project management tools like Asana strongly preferred.
