Creative Operations Project Manager

San Francisco, CA

At Rothy’s, we know there’s a better way to do business, and it starts by putting the planet and its people first. More than 225 million single-use plastic bottles and 715,000 pounds of ocean-bound marine plastic have been transformed into our signature thread, creating wardrobe staples that look just as good as they feel.

Striving for zero waste, we combine 3D knitting technology and handcrafted assembly to create machine washable styles that don’t compromise on comfort. From classic shoes to carry-everywhere bags, we create essentials for wherever you go.

At Rothy’s, building a sustainable future is at the heart of everything we do. We pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive environment at our HQ, retail stores and wholly-owned factory, and are growing our community every day.

About the Team:

A powerhouse group of graphic designers, photo editors and copywriters, our Creative team brings Rothy’s to life through rich, relevant storytelling—both visually and in words. As part of the Marketing organization, our Creatives work closely with Digital Commerce, Brand Strategy, PR and more teams to tell our brand story—and to deliver the right message on the right platforms.

About the role:

We’re looking for a highly detailed oriented Project Manager who excels at prioritizing and managing creative projects while also demonstrating strong initiative. You’ll be a part of the larger Brand Marketing team and assist in divvying up the workload accordingly while also ensuring that project timelines are met. We’d also love to bring someone on who is as passionate as we are about all things Rothy’s!

What you’ll do:
  • Manage end-to-end marketing projects across email, site, paid ads, social, and marketing collateral

  • Own key supporting channels (Email, Website, Wholesale), with flexibility as channel ownership evolves over time

  • Lead weekly check-ins with designers, copywriters, email, and marketing teams to ensure timely, aligned deliverables

  • Own and optimize the email production process, implementing improvements as needed

  • Build and maintain detailed timelines in Wrike, keeping projects on track and on deadline

  • Partner cross-functionally with site, email, product, creative, and marketing teams

  • Identify and implement process improvements across marketing and creative workflows

  • Oversee production of marketing collateral, including coordination with printing vendors

You are:
  • Experienced in working on a DTC and/or retail brand

  • Passionate for shoes and retail

  • Experienced with Wrike or similar project planning tool

  • Calm, steady, and solutions-oriented under pressure

  • An excellent communicator who can clearly align cross-functional teams

  • A champion of process who sees structure as a tool for creativity (not a barrier to it)

You have:
  • 5+ years of creative project management experience in retail or agency

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills

  • Incredible detail orientation

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

Our benefits:
  • Generous paid time off

  • 401k matching

  • Comprehensive health plans for you and your family

  • Supplemental mental health benefits

  • Monthly wellness reimbursement

  • Dog friendly offices

  • Employee Discount Program!

Pay range:

$98,000 - $118,000 annually

Base pay is one part of the total rewards package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
