About the role

Gamma is growing fast, and paid acquisition is one of the biggest levers we have. The constraint isn't budget — it's creative. The companies winning in AI are testing hundreds of ads a month. Most teams ship a handful. You'll own the system that closes that gap.

This is a build-and-operate role. You'll design and run the pipeline that takes a brief and produces production-ready static and video ads at a volume no traditional creative team can match, pairing AI generation with real editorial judgment and a real QA bar. You'll work closely with our media buyers and creative strategist to keep fresh creative in test around the clock, read the data to understand which ads moved CPA, and feed those learnings directly back into what you produce next. If you think production throughput is an engineering problem and you'd rather build the machine than hand-craft one perfect asset, this role was designed for you.

Our team has a strong in-office culture and works in person 4–5 days per week in San Francisco. We love working together to stay creative and connected, with flexibility to work from home when focus matters most.

What you'll do
  • Design. Every day. Own creative output for Gamma's highest-visibility moments, from product launches and brand campaigns to enterprise sales materials — set the quality bar by producing the work, not just approving it

  • Manage and elevate a distributed design team while collaborating with marketers on campaigns and brand initiatives. Hire new designers as the team grows

  • Drive AI-first creative production by building repeatable workflows for ideation, asset production, and iteration across your team

  • Own Gamma's brand identity and visual systems across every surface: marketing, social, events, and sales collateral to scale the brand from prosumer delight to B2B credibility

  • Develop creative strategies that serve Gamma's full audience spectrum, from individual creators to Fortune 100 decision-makers, adapting tone and visual approach while keeping the brand cohesive

  • Build frameworks that let regional teams produce on-brand work at speed, and lead localized creative for key markets across AMER, LATAM, EMEA, and APAC

What you'll bring
  • A performance or direct-response creative background with proof you've shipped high volumes of ad creative fast — this is a production and systems role, not brand or social

  • Hands-on fluency with AI creative tools across the stack: LLMs for copy and hooks, image creation, AI video, voiceover, and asset assembly

  • A builder's instinct: comfortable with prompt engineering, API integrations, and light scripting or automation (n8n, Make, or similar) to wire a pipeline together

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to read creative and account performance in ad platforms and know which metric a given test is meant to move

  • Hands-on experience with both static and video formats, and the judgment to know when a rough static will outperform a produced video

  • Familiarity with subscription and LTV dynamics, so you're optimizing toward paying users, not just cheap clicks (Nice to have)

Compensation range:

The base salary for this full-time position, which spans multiple internal levels depending on qualifications, ranges between $200K - $235K plus benefits & equity.

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to experience and expertise in the requirements listed above.

If you're interested in this role but you don't meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply anyway! We're always excited about meeting great people.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
