HOURGLASS COSMETICS — Creative Director, West Hollywood Based (Hybrid Role)

Our in-house Creative and Content Studio is responsible for producing a wide range of content, with an increasing focus on video first assets and activations. We are looking for a Creative Director to join us and support the creative and content teams.
In this role, you will develop the creative vision for the brand, beginning by creating a brand platform that will become our foundation for Hourglass’ growth. The creative platform will provide consistency in how the brand shows up within large scale brand campaigns and product launches, everyday owned channel communications, and will help guide decisions around new product innovations, packaging and design. You will be responsible for steering visual representation, tone of voice, and the brand aesthetic across all campaign touchpoints, owned channel and retail environments.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Translate brand positioning into a meaningful platform and storytelling and product campaigns.
- Act as a strategic partner to senior marketing leaders in steering our brand strategy, with experience writing from sharp consumer insights.
- Develop and steer the brand identity, language, and visuals, owning the vision for how the brand will evolve.
- Create and oversee multi-channel, full funnel campaign development from product innovation through production.
- Synthesize creative ideas for adaptation by local markets and external partners (agency or production).
- Passionate about design, luxury and retail, you actively seek out new design innovations, trends, retail experiences, and potential partners (production, talent and brands), understanding what’s relevant and on brand for Hourglass.
- Partnering with E-Commerce & Digital team on UX and design for web and email content.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 15 years of related experience in a Beauty/fashion/luxury agency or in-house environment
- Minimum 6 years of people management experience supporting a brand narrative across multi-channel touchpoints and experiences.
- An exceptional portfolio of work; experience developing brand platforms and brand books, with experience in global toolkit development across video/ motion, photography stills, digital, experiences and retail.
- Experience and comfort in partnering and overseeing creative vision across teams.
- On set photography experience with a sensitive eye for luxury art direction, photo/video editing, cropping, and retouching.
- Expertise in modern media environments and creative best practices, with emphasis on platforms like TikTok, Instagram and owned web channels.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, regarded as an effective and attentive manager.
- Strong critical thinking, project management and organizational skills.
- In-depth knowledge of appropriate usage of the latest versions of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier, Bridge, image optimization for web, and other web authoring / motion graphic tools.
- Must be able to work from Corporate Office at least 60% of the time.
The expected base salary range for this position is $200,000 to $220,000 per year. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget.
This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
