This is a new Creative Director role with the opportunity to shape the creative direction of an established global technology company. You’ll set the creative vision, help build the team and infrastructure to deliver it, and turn highly technical products and ideas into compelling visual stories for audiences around the world. 

Position description

    As Creative Director, you’ll lead the creative vision and strategy for a global technology company entering an important new stage of its brand evolution. You’ll shape how the company shows up across B2C and B2B markets, helping create a more distinctive, premium visual identity while building a cohesive global approach to creative. 

    This is a new role, and you’ll initially be a hands-on creative leader, with the opportunity to help build the team, processes, and external partnerships needed to support the company’s growth. Reporting directly to the CMO and GM, you’ll collaborate closely with executive leadership and product management to turn complex products and ideas into compelling brand experiences for audiences around the world. 

    This is a full-time, direct hire position—the successful candidate will join the company directly. The role is onsite in the Los Angeles area. During the first six months, the Creative Director will travel to the company’s APAC factories to gain a firsthand understanding of manufacturing processes and products.

Activities

  • Set and lead the company’s global creative vision and strategy across business units and markets.  
  • Build, structure, and scale a global creative team and establish effective workflows and approval processes.  
  • Lead relationships with external production agencies, including budgets, negotiations, schedules, and international productions.  
  • Create a cohesive visual approach across product categories, campaigns, launches, and markets.  
  • Partner with executive leadership and product management to translate complex products and technical concepts into compelling creative.  
  • Balance ambitious creative ideas with production schedules, multi-market requirements, budgets, and business priorities.  
  • Travel regularly to collaborate with internal stakeholders, customers, and partners. Develop creative work spanning multiple products 

Skills and qualifications

    Need to have
  • 10+ years of progressive creative experience, including significant experience in a Creative Director role. 
  • Experience leading global creative teams and/or managing large-scale agency relationships and budgets. 
  • Portfolio demonstrating brand transformation, global campaign execution, and development of scalable creative operations. 
  • Strong operational leadership and experience establishing workflows that support high-quality creative production at global scale. 
  • Experience developing creative for established global brands, with a portfolio demonstrating a strong visual point of view across products, campaigns, and brand experiences. 
  • Ability and willingness to do occasional work travel. 
  • Located in the L.A. area or willing to relocate. A relocation budget is available. 
  • Nice to have
  • Experience developing creative for consumer-facing brands with highly designed physical products.
