As a Creative Director, you bring a strong creative point to drive innovative storytelling across digital and social media channels. You’re a creative through and through but you also have a passion for strategic thinking. You have a deep understanding of social behaviors and digital experiences—from conceptual development to the execution of creative deliverables. You also build strong client relationships with ease. 
At Critical Mass, you will join a team of creative leaders that aim to inspire talent, strengthen the creative product, and innovate in the digital space. You’ll collaborate closely with other internal disciplines—in strategy, account, technology, and project management—and within the integrated agency model to create campaigns that engage, inform, and drive performance. Most importantly, you’ll uphold our values to be honest, inspired, drive, passionate and real in everything you do.   

You Will:  

  • Lead the development of creative across digital platforms— social, digital, video, experiences, and content.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated, insight-driven campaigns.
  • Mentor and guide a team of creatives, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Stay ahead of digital and social trends, leveraging platform innovations to keep client top of mind as an industry leader.
  • Present creative concepts to senior leadership and clients, articulating rationale and creative vision.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of brand to ensure brand standards and brand tone are met. 
  • Take direction from internal and integrated creative leaders.
  • Juggle multiple projects simultaneously, managing resourcing needs and providing direction to creative team as needed.
  • Work closely with production partners and vendors to coordinate and complete projects on time and with exceptional craft. 
  • Improve upon creative department methods, problem-solving models, and best practices.
  • Promote a culture of excellence and accountability.  

You Have:  

  • 8+ years of experience in copywriting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably within a digital-first or social-led environment. 
  • Ability to demonstrate breakthrough digital and social ideation, ideally for large brands.
  • Deep understanding of digital platforms, social media trends, and audience behaviors. 
  • Exceptional writing skills, including the ability to write in a range of voices and styles for varied projects with diverse audiences.
  • Aptitude for quick, creative thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines.
  • Extensive experience with platform development, campaign development, creative brief development, and creative execution.
  • Proven ability to motivate and develop creative teams. 
  • Strong presentation and communication skills. 
  • Experience in telecommunications or technology sectors is a plus.

We continually review ranges to address skills, experience and markets. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a number of factors that include, but aren’t limited to, a candidate’s experience and skills relative to the scope and responsibilities of the position. For current CM employees, tenure will also be a consideration.
Salary Range
$175,000$195,000 USD
