Position Overview

NEOWIZ is seeking a talented and versatile Creative Designer to join our Community Content & Growth team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the visual identity and engagement of our vibrant video game communities, including titles like Lies of P and Shape of Dreams. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional skills in creative and production design across multiple disciplines, with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of gaming culture. You'll play a key role in bringing the spirit of our games to life through compelling visual assets and physical products that resonate with our global player base and support the needs of our customers.

As a Creative Designer, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including brand management, game development, merchandising, social media, community communications, and events. Your work will directly impact how our communities connect with our brands, from the apparel they wear to the digital content they engage with daily.

Key Responsibilities

  • Multi-Disciplinary Creative & Production Design
  • Conceptualize, design, and produce high-quality creative assets across a range of disciplines, including apparel design, graphic design, and illustration.
  • Develop visually striking merchandise concepts, from initial sketches to production-ready files, ensuring brand consistency and appeal to our diverse player communities.
  • Create compelling social media graphics, illustrations, and animations that drive engagement and reinforce brand identity for various platforms.
  • Design and format digital and print assets for community communications, including newsletters, website banners, event collateral, and promotional materials.
  • Ensure all designs are optimized for their intended platform and audience, maintaining a high standard of visual quality and brand adherence.

  • Community-Centric Visual Strategy
  • Translate the unique spirit and aesthetics of NEOWIZ video games (e.g., Lies of P, Shape of Dreams) into tangible and engaging visual content and products.
  • Collaborate with community managers to understand player preferences and feedback, incorporating insights into design iterations.
  • Support the creation of visual narratives that celebrate our game communities and foster a sense of belonging and excitement.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support
  • Work closely with the development team to ideate and execute product designs that align with marketing strategies and fan demand.
  • Partner with community/social teammates to create innovative and shareable content that drives organic reach and engagement.
  • Support communications by providing impactful assets for announcements, campaigns, live events and products
  • Inspire creative community members to share their ideas for products they would love.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new content and product initiatives, offering design and production solutions and perspectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute U.S.-based offline and community events (e.g., Anime Expo, PAX, Comic-Con, fan meetups, promotional activations)
  • Lead local brand and IP collaborations aligned with the Brown Dust 2 universe and audience interests
  • Manage relationships and negotiate contracts with the U.S.-based marketing partners and agencies
  • Analyze trends and player behaviors in the U.S. mobile and anime game market; generate insights to inform strategy
  • Collaborate with the live operations team to tailor in-game campaigns and messaging for the U.S. audience
  • Localize marketing creative, messaging, and social content for cultural and linguistic resonance with the U.S. audience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, Illustration, Fashion Design, or a related creative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in creative design, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in apparel design, product creation, graphic design, and illustration.
  • Demonstrated proficiency/fluency with industry-standard design software, e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Maya, Fusion 360, After Effects, etc.
  • Proven ability to translate brand guidelines and creative briefs into effective visual solutions.
  • Strong understanding of current design trends, especially within the gaming, entertainment, or pop culture industries.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for video game culture and an interest in gaming communities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with 3D rendering or modeling software, e.g., Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, for merchandise mock-ups or asset conceptualization.
  • Familiarity with animation principles and basic motion graphics.
  • Experience working with international teams and understanding diverse cultural aesthetics.
  • Previous experience in the video game industry, or entertainment or lifestyle adjacent industry, is a plus.
