Forbes believes in the power of entrepreneurial capitalism and uses it on various platforms to ignite the conversations that drive systemic change in business, culture and society. We celebrate success and are committed to using our megaphone to drive diversity, equity and inclusion.

Forbes is launching a new Coupons & Deals initiative and seeks a Partnerships Manager to help build, launch, and scale this high-impact project. This is a rare opportunity to be hands-on in developing a key initiative at a globally recognized business media brand.

We need an experienced professional with deep expertise in the affiliate coupons business model, strong industry relationships, and a proven ability to drive revenue through strategic partnerships. Startup experience is a major plus, as this role requires a builder’s mindset and adaptability.

Responsibilities:

  • Affiliate Program Management: Secure and optimize partnerships with affiliate networks and brands for top-performing offers and competitive commissions.
  • New Account Setup & Onboarding: Establish and stabilize sub-accounts with networks, apply for advertiser programs, and ensure readiness for launch.
  • Revenue & Sponsorship Optimization: Negotiate rates, optimize commissions, and sell sponsored placements—independently or with the content partnerships team.
  • Program Ownership: Manage all aspects of the Coupons & Deals initiative, from deal sourcing to performance tracking and optimizations.
  • Collateral & Sales Support: Develop high-quality sponsorship decks and sales materials to support revenue efforts.
  • Industry Engagement: Leverage relationships to establish strategic partnerships and drive growth.
  • Data-Driven Strategy: Analyze performance to identify trends, improve monetization, and drive revenue.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, content, data, and marketing teams to align strategy and execution.

The ideal candidate:

  • 5+ years of affiliate marketing experience, with expertise in coupons and deals.
  • Strong industry relationships in affiliate and performance marketing.
  • Proven success in partner negotiations, revenue optimization, and business development.
  • Experience with major affiliate networks, agencies, brands, and publishers.
  • Deep understanding of monetizing coupon and deal content through affiliate and sponsorship strategies.
  • Ability to create compelling sales collateral and clearly communicate sponsorship value.
  • Startup or fast-paced digital media experience is a major plus.
  • Highly analytical, data-driven, and strategic.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across teams.
  • Management experience preferred, with the ability to lead as the program scales.

This is a rare chance to build something from the ground up at a premier global brand. If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, we’d love to hear from you!

The annual base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $105,000

Forbes has estimated the compensation range set forth above in good faith.  The compensation range is what we believe we will offer, and ultimately pay, a successful candidate.  In determining this range, we consider the experience, level of education (if applicable to the role), knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be had by a successful candidate as well as the budget and the company’s pay rates, generally. This said, we may have to make changes to our compensation estimates and job descriptions from time to time and we expressly reserve the right to do so.  Should we make any such changes, this advertisement will be revised to reflect such revisions.  We encourage you to occasionally re-visit this advertisement to ensure that you are abreast of any changes.  Thank you for your interest in joining Forbes!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
