Responsibilities:
The Global Investigations Counsel will be responsible for investigating potential legal violations, employee relations issues, and/or violations of Flowserve’s Code of Conduct or other policies. They will also actively support Flowserve’s global compliance program by analyzing and advising on emerging risks, conducting training, and working to improve policies, procedures, and internal controls. Specific duties include:

Executing the investigations program strategy, goals, policies and metrics reporting with a risk-based approach.

Conducting internal investigations in the North American region and worldwide by identifying issues, interviewing witnesses, collecting and reviewing relevant data, drafting investigation reports, and recommending remedial action as appropriate.

Preparing and delivering trainings and presentations related to Flowserve policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct.

Working cross functionally to triage, assign, track, and address concerns raised via the hotline and internally.

Performing statistical analysis of hotline and other ethics data to identify trends and areas of compliance risk and preparing periodic reports for management.

Overseeing and managing a team of global investigators internally, as well as overseeing external investigators, as needed.

Managing various reporting and tracking systems using SharePoint, Excel, EthicsPoint, and Microsoft Teams

Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment and proven ability to influence all levels within the organization, including the most senior levels of an organization.

Requirements

Qualified attorney or legal degree

Minimum 3-5 years of relevant employment law experience

Excellent communication skills (oral and written), including ability to communicate complex information in a short, easy-to-understand format

Excellent interpersonal skills, including a friendly and professional demeanor, cooperative partnership approach, and an ability to effectively work both independently and in a team environment with people of many countries and cultures, and at all levels of the organization

Highly organized self-starter proficient at multi-tasking and managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously

Have a practical, business oriented, risk-based approach to problem-solving

Ability to timely and effectively counsel internal clients by providing them with clear, concise, and practical advice, and creative solutions

Ability to maintain strict confidence and discretion

Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point

Must be fluent in English
