The Corporate Vice President & Actuary will support pricing and product development, work with various teams to assess risks, and maintain pricing models using advanced analytical skills.
Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week
This position can be either remote or hybrid; Tuesday - Thursday in office, Monday & Friday work from home. (Austin, Texas or New York, New York offices)
Role Overview:
Candidate will be a key member of the Long-Term Care pricing team.
Position requires strong communication skills, ability to work closely with business partners, actuarial and technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines and set priorities. Working independently is a must. Proficient using Excel VBA including working with Forms and Modules as well as Prophet. Ability to maintain large and complicated Excel models.
What You'll Do:
• Pricing and product development support for new LTC products• Work closely with Product Management and influence decisions on product design• Quantifies company risk exposure and proposes ways to minimize risk• Develops and maintains Prophet pricing models• Assists in the determination of dividend scales• Performs Special projects as assigned
What You'll Bring:• BA/ BS with preferred majors of Actuarial Science, Math, Engineering or Computer Science• FSA (or close to FSA) designation in the Society of Actuaries• Full time actuarial or analytical experience• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Analytically minded• Strong decision making abilities• Experience using Oracle and SQL server databases is preferred• Experience with Prophet

Salary Range: $129,500-$185,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
