Job Title: Corporate Tax Director
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Hybrid
Salary: $197,800 – $255,904 annually + Performance Bonus
Job Summary
We are seeking a Corporate Tax Director to lead corporate tax compliance, ASC 740 tax provision engagements, and tax consulting projects for large multi-state and multinational clients. This role will oversee client engagements, review complex tax returns and tax provisions, mentor teams, drive business development, and serve as the primary advisor to clients.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead corporate tax compliance and consulting engagements from planning through completion.
  • Review complex corporate income tax returns (Form 1120) and ASC 740 tax provisions.
  • Provide tax planning and consulting for federal, state, and international tax matters.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while serving as the primary client contact.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop tax professionals.
  • Drive business development and identify opportunities to grow client relationships.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's in Taxation, LLM, or JD preferred).
  • Active CPA or JD with an active law license.
  • 5–7+ years of progressive corporate tax compliance and consulting experience.
  • Recent public accounting experience with a Big 4, Top 15, or large regional accounting firm.
  • Strong experience with ASC 740 tax provisions, including preparation, review, and audit support.
  • Experience supporting large multi-state, national, or multinational corporate clients.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, corporate tax compliance, and federal income tax.
  • Excellent leadership, client management, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work onsite at least 3 days per week.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with OneSource Tax Provision.
  • Knowledge of SALT, international taxation, and transfer pricing.
  • Business development and client relationship management experience.
