Join Zoox's Legal team to manage commercial contracts, real estate transactions, and provide legal counsel on land use for autonomous vehicle operations.
We are seeking an experienced attorney to join Zoox's Legal team to support our growing commercial contracts, real estate, and land use needs. This role will be responsible for handling complex commercial contracts, supply chain agreements, real estate transactions, and providing strategic legal counsel on land use matters as we expand our autonomous vehicle operations.
In this role, you will:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial, partnership, and strategic deals and contracts
- Lead and manage complex commercial real estate, infrastructure, and fleet charging transactions, including leases, purchases, sales, and development agreements
- Provide legal counsel on land use, zoning, and permitting matters; support facility expansion and charging infrastructure projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Real Estate, Facilities, Finance, and Business Development
Qualifications:
- JD degree from an accredited law school; active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
- 6+ years of relevant legal experience, with significant focus on commercial contracts, commercial lease negotiations and real estate development
- Experience with commercial contract drafting and negotiations
- Strong project management and organizational abilities
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Bonus Qualifications:
- Prior in-house counsel experience at a technology or automotive company
- Experience with autonomous vehicle, technology and/or transportation industries
- Experience with construction contracts and fleet charging infrastructure transactions
