The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Join a group of transactional attorneys supporting growing businesses and investors on a mix of deal work and ongoing legal counsel. The role centers on negotiating and documenting transactions and acting as a trusted legal adviser to a varied client base.
What you'll do
- Advise mid-sized businesses and investors on acquisitions, equity financings and joint ventures.
- Prepare and review transaction agreements and related corporate paperwork for a mix of institutional and individual clients.
- Assist with securities offerings and technology-related deals.
- Serve as outside general counsel, giving practical day-to-day legal guidance across several industries.
- Work toward an annual billable hours target, with extra pay for hours beyond it.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- At least 3 years handling corporate deals in a law firm setting, including mergers, securities offerings or equity investments.
- A background representing mid-sized clients rather than solely the largest transactions.
- In-house counsel experience is welcome when paired with time at a law firm.
- Polished drafting and document review skills.
- A JD from an accredited law school with a strong academic record; transcript required with application.
- Active California bar membership.
- A deal sheet showing completed transactions.
- Clear written and interpersonal communication suited to client-facing work.
- Comfort with a billable hours target and a bonus tied to hours worked.
Bonus points
- Experience in outside general counsel work or technology transactions.
Benefits
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: USD 230,000 to 350,000 per year
- Bonus for hours billed above target
