We’re committed to pushing boundaries and leaving our mark as we reinvent the future of ecommerce for enthusiasts.

Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers — and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all.

Are you a natural storyteller? Do concepting and creating feel second nature to you? Can you write and edit for tone, and carry a project from ideation through to completion? Is teamwork your love language? If you answered yes to all these questions, we want to meet you.

The eBay Brand Creative team is looking for a dedicated copywriter to join our team. You’re a storyteller who can concept, write, and shape brand-building copy—from video scripts and social posts to landing pages and banners. You have boundless creativity and curiosity, a customer-first lens, and an openness to feedback.  An interest in the fashion, collectibles and motors categories is a huge plus, but not critical as long as there’s passion and capability for fast, on-the-job learning.

What you’ll do:

  • Concept and develop copy for video, social, onsite, offsite display, and more.

  • Write pitch-perfect, on-brand copy that’s tailored to our enthusiast motors, fashion, and collectibles audiences.

  • Collaborate closely with marketing, social strategy, the business team, events team, and other partners to bring campaigns to life.

  • Present copy and creative to key partners with clarity and professionalism.

  • Occasional travel for team collaboration is expected.

What you offer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 3+ years writing, editing, and concepting in the marketing, advertising, or media world, with the portfolio to prove it.

  • The ability to study, learn, and apply our brand voice, and copy style across all marketing touchpoints

  • Facility with Google docs, slides, and sheets; familiarity with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Monday a plus.

  • Strong writing and editing skills, and the ability to offer endless iterations on one subject.

  • A collaborative can-do attitude, openness to sharing ideas in an open forum, and ability to receive feedback and apply it constructively.

  • An ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while juggling multiple tasks from multiple partners.

  • A flexible attitude and a roll-with-it demeanor.

  • A sense of humor—but no puns, please.

Who you’ll work with:

  • An award-winning internal creative team made up of senior writers and designers, motion designers, art directors, copy managers, videographers, associate creative directors, and creative directors.

  • A passionate, hardworking, and nimble bunch for whom no project is too small and none too big (read: daunting) for us to deliver on.

  • We prioritize effort over ego, creativity over quick completion, and quality over absolutely everything.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
