We are seeking a motivated and driven individual to join our team as the Sync Coordinator. We work with a diverse roster of talented artists and are dedicated to connecting their music with visual media to enhance the overall entertainment experience.  In this role, which combines both administrative and creative skills, you will be at the heart of the sync department.  You will play a crucial role in the day to day flow of the department, and ensure that everyone has the tools, assets and support necessary, so that our music is effectively and strategically placed in films, television shows, commercials, video games and all other forms of visual content.

What You'll Do
  • Office- first role, in office 4 days a week
  • Establish daily priority of projects and follow up to ensure timely delivery of pitches
  • Research rights holders and assist in rights clearances
  • Assisting with research and compiling pitchable content for incoming daily briefs.
  • Solicit song assets and information from label/artist clients
  • Track new signings and catalog acquisitions for the sync department.
  • Create weekly marketing newsletters.
  • Maintain / update Disco database with metadata and playlists
  • Maintain contact database
  • Prepare reports outlining pitched and placed songs
  • Update team with confirmed airdates
  • Maintain spreadsheet on pitched songs
  • Maintain the sync release schedule
  • Liaise between the sync department, other company departments and labels as needed
  • Assist with managing documentation for all prospective sync licenses
  • Assist in fulfilling direct requests for specific tracks and song information
  • Handle show solicitations/guest lists.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with industry colleagues/counterparts.
  • Stay up to date on the latest film and television trends and projects.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of The Orchard catalog.
Who You Are
  • At least 1 year of experience at a label, publisher or equivalent, with a focus on sync
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work after regular business hours when urgent matters arise
  • Basic understanding of music licensing, performance rights, sync licensing and terminology
  • Strong knowledge of music across all genres and decades, keen eye for trends in music and entertainment, and enjoy pop culture.

The anticipated annual base salary does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for.  The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
California Pay Range
$47,000$52,000 USD
