At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.

About the Role

Netflix seeks a Coordinator for our Series Animation Production Management team to act as a true “second” to our Managers. The Coordinator will understand CG and Hybrid series animation production pipelines. The Coordinator will drive proactive communication and collaboration, partnering with internal and external cross-functional executive stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful execution of deliverables for multiple development projects and productions. This person will serve as a key, central point of contact across Content, Partner Studios, and crews for the entire Adult Spectacle series animation production slate, working seamlessly between Managers and projects to successfully address their needs and simultaneously ensure the creative vision and business objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities

 Run Production Operations Smoothly

  • Own tracking for schedules, bids, deliverables, notes, and key production metrics—monitoring for context, accuracy, and follow-through.

  • Track turnaround times on notes (scripts, designs, schedules, budgets, etc.).

  • Organize all incoming scripts, designs, cuts, and production deliverables so they are easy to find and share.

  • Support crews with everyday questions and help keep the team organized and aligned.

Bridge Execs, Content, and Production

  • Represent the day-to-day reality of production in conversations with Content, Showrunners, and other internal partners.

  • Communicate with Partner Studios on more than just delivery tools, ensuring reporting requirements and deliverables are handled correctly.

Partner Closely with Managers of Production Management

  • Act as their right hand: brainstorm solutions, support schedule and budget scenario planning, and help evaluate and track studio bids.

  • Track show milestones and key dates; flag upcoming deadlines and time-sensitive needs.

Own Tools & Workflow

  • Be the go-to expert on Netflix production tools and related systems.

  • Help the team understand how tools connect to real production workflows (not just data entry).

  • Troubleshoot basic tooling/tech issues and escalate when needed.

Drive Communication & Alignment

  • Take clear, accurate notes in complex meetings and share concise recaps with owners and deadlines.

  • Communicate updates cross-functionally with context and nuance.

  • Make informed decisions when appropriate and know when to loop in  Managers of Production.

Qualifications
  • 4+ years in production coordination, production management, or similar role (series or feature animation experience a plus).

  • Proven experience managing trackers, deliverables, and complex communication streams.

  • Strong note-taking and documentation skills in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments.

  • Strong understanding of production workflows and pipelines.

  • Exceptional communicator, trusted by both Execs and production teams.

  • Highly organized, able to juggle multiple shows, deadlines, and stakeholders.

  • Proactive and forward-thinking; anticipates needs rather than just reacting.

  • Comfortable working independently and in close partnership with Managers of Production.

  • Strong soft skills: good judgment, positive attitude, gives and receives feedback well.

  • Technically savvy and quick to learn new tools (experience with Netflix or similar studio tools is a plus).

  • Available to work onsite (at least) 4 days a week ( M-Th).

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
