Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

The Role:

The Global Internal Communications team works behind the scenes to keep employees around the world informed about our business, excited about the future, and connected with Netflix’s mission—to entertain the world. We work closely with senior leadership to bring the company strategy and culture to life in a transparent and engaging way. From producing global town halls and shaping leadership meetings to fresh, creative experiences that inspire and excite employees, this team has a front-row seat to what’s happening across the business—and helps ensure everyone else gets a clear view, too.

We’re a fast-moving, collaborative group that takes the work seriously, but not ourselves. We love what we do and genuinely enjoy working together—whether that’s solving big comms challenges, obsessing over the details that matter (to serial comma or not to serial comma—is this even a question?!), or jamming on out-of-the-box solutions.

We’re hiring a Coordinator, Internal Communications to join our core team and help bring our marquee company events (e.g., Company Town Halls, leadership summits, etc.) to life. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to partner across the team on various communications moments and company-wide events to ensure they’re delivered thoughtfully and with care. You’ll bring a strong eye for detail and keep timelines and deliverables on track. Additionally, you’ll help maintain team operations and norms as the keeper of our shared drive, resources, and measurement approaches. This person is eager to learn and also game to lend a hand when work ramps up, jumping in to support when needed.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist on key, company-wide events (e.g., Company Town Halls, leadership summits, etc.) from communications to logistics.

  • Work collaboratively across multiple internal teams to coordinate and prioritize a high volume of tasks.

  • Partner across the team to craft communication plans that deliver our message to the right people, at the right time, and in the right way.

  • Manage the team’s shared drive, keeping folders and files organized and consistent.

  • Help measure the effectiveness of team communications by accurately tracking key metrics.

  • Flex to assist on projects across internal communications—a team player who is game to help out where needed.

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in communications—preferably within media, advertising, entertainment, or tech;

  • Experience with slide design and/or social strategy preferred;

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Slack—bonus if you’ve used content management systems for internal networks and email marketing tools to create and track campaigns.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a love of staying organized;

  • Comfort in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and partnering with many different teams (e.g., Events, Workplace, AV, etc.);

  • Genuine curiosity with a passion for learning new skills and topics;

  • A proactive, self-starter mindset with a knack for solving problems.

This role is based in either our Los Angeles (preferred) or Los Gatos office.

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
