About the Role
The Digital Reporter marketplace is built on the strength of our reporter network, and this role is responsible for keeping that network running well. As volume scales, we need someone who fully owns the operational layer: the reporter experience from onboarding through ongoing engagement, the QA feedback loop that protects quality, and the process documentation that turns tribal knowledge into institutional infrastructure
Reporting & Structure
Reports to the Manager, Strategy and Operations. Works alongside the Digital Reporter Operations team.
What You'll Do
Coordinate onboarding for new Digital Reporter independent contractors by tracking steps, communicating next actions, and ensuring smooth activation
Support engagement efforts: routing communications, flagging at-risk ICs, and helping execute retention touch points
Assist with QA workflows by reviewing reports, logging issues, and routing feedback per established standards
Build and maintain an internal knowledge base for Digital Reporter processes, playbooks, and operational procedures
Manage routine Slack and email communication with Digital Reporter's on operational matters
Identify gaps in existing documentation and help with closing them
What We're Looking For
1-2 years experience in a fast-growing startup or consulting firm
Organized and thorough. You complete tasks fully and document your work.
Clear written communicator comfortable sending professional IC-facing messages
Eager to build structure where it doesn't yet exist. This role requires initiative, not just execution.
Experience in coordinator, operations, or community management roles
Background in legal, deposition, or independent contractor management is a plus
