Requirements
About You

We have expectations — and so should you. We want to be clear on what’s expected from both sides.

You’re analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable diving into data to uncover opportunities for improvement. You enjoy turning numbers into insights and insights into action — whether that’s optimizing a client’s site experience, spotting trends in KPIs, or preparing recommendations for a strategy presentation. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with a Lead Strategist while also managing your own workload and delivering high-quality outputs on time.

You’re curious about the “why” behind performance metrics and motivated to help clients grow their ecommerce businesses. You can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, moving seamlessly from research and analysis to implementation and reporting. You’re adaptable, comfortable with shifting priorities, and eager to expand your skills in CRO, personalization, and UX strategy. Above all, you take pride in your work, communicate clearly, and see every project as a chance to make an impact.

Requirements
  • Shopify Expertise: Strong familiarity with the Shopify ecosystem, with the ability to recommend third-party solutions, integrations, and UI/UX improvements to enhance performance.
  • Professional Background: 2+ years in an agency or eCommerce role, with at least 2+ years of direct Shopify experience.
  • Analytics Proficiency: 2+ years of hands-on experience with Google Analytics; GA4 experience is a major plus.
  • CRO Tools Knowledge: Experience using a range of CRO and personalization tools such as Nosto, Limespot, OmniConvert, VWO, Optimizely, Dynamic Yield, and Visually.io.
  • KPI & CRO Principles: Ability to understand core client KPIs and apply conversion rate optimization best practices to improve them.
  • Reporting & Roadmapping: Skilled at creating client reports and strategic roadmaps with clear KPIs, timelines, and measurable goals.
  • Client Communication: Comfortable presenting recommendations and insights directly to clients and stakeholders in calls and meetings.
  • Data Interpretation: Ability to analyze and synthesize data across multiple platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Heatmaps, Hotjar) to identify opportunities and inform strategy.
  • Collaboration: Able to work closely with cross-functional team members to ensure recommendations align with the client’s broader business objectives.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
