Background of Role:


We’re seeking a highly skilled Corporate Controller to lead and scale the core accounting function of a dynamic, private equity backed organization. This is a key leadership role with visibility across company and a strong emphasis on technical precision, team leadership, and process improvement. This is a remote position but must be located in the US.


Experience:


A strong foundation in public accounting is preferred with successful progressive roles in organizational accounting leadership. Candidates must be able to lead with confidence, navigate complex accounting environments with ease, and have experience managing a team of all levels of accounting professionals in high-growth settings.


In This Role, You Will:

  • Lead the monthly close and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
  • Supervise general ledger, revenue, AP, and tax
  • Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and external auditors
  • Drive process improvements and system automation initiatives
  • Cultivate a high-performing team and a culture of accountability
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Key Qualifications:

  • CPA or MBA required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 8–10 years of progressive experience in accounting and controllership, professional services experience preferred
  • Deep expertise in US GAAP
  • Direct experience with compliance, internal controls, and external audits
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop accounting teams
  • Ownership of month-end close
  • Familiarity with technical accounting topics (e.g., ASC 606)
  • Experienced with process improvements and system enhancements to drive efficiency
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with NetSuite
