We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our team, reporting directly to the CFO/VP of Finance. In this key role, you will own the financial close and reporting cycles, ensure compliance with GAAP standards, and lead process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities – Controller

  • Be an integral part of the finance team and report to the CFO / VP Finance 
  • Ownership of financial close and reporting cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. 
  • Manage all aspects of the accounting processes, including Netsuite, monthly close, AP, collections and payroll 
  • Partner with other departments to drive process and systematic NetSuite ERP improvements. 
  • Ensure accounts are reconciled in accordance with GAAP, internal policies and procedures are properly applied, and internal controls are followed and enforced 
  • Manage the annual audits and ensure compliance with all local reporting requirements and tax filings 
  • Interface consistently and proactively with the business to ensure open communication and process efficiency 
  • Supervise, train, and mentor a staff of two or more, as well as work closely with international accounting team members 
  • Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data. 
  • Coordinate with FP&A to ensure the accounting department is aligned with the business and to provide support as needed for quarterly forecasting and annual budget process 
  • Create, update, and maintain corporate Finance/Accounting policies and procedures 
  • Prepare accounting memos as they relate to accounting matters and topics that require documentation (revenue recognition, etc) 
  • Leverage technology to streamline and improve the month-end close process; drive internal process improvements and continually identify opportunities for automation 
  • Implement controls over financial reporting, ensure strong internal control policies and procedures, and identify areas where improvements can be made 

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferably Accounting); CPA certification is preferred.  
  • Public accounting experience is preferred 
  • Technical accounting expertise, including US GAAP  
  • Netsuite / Oracle or similar  ERP experience
  • Self-starting, enthusiastic, and entrepreneurial attitude 
  • Mix of experience with IT professional services company preferred 
  • Practical experience with ASC 606 is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse groups 
  • Have a strong attention to detail 
  • Strong time management and planning skills are required to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to changes in business requirements
