Job Description
Join our team as a Control Manager Vice President, where you'll have the opportunity to expand your knowledge and build lasting relationships by partnering with cross-functional teams. Our focus is on maintaining a strong and consistent control environment to mitigate operational risks across lines of business, functions, and regions.
As a Control Manager Vice President within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you will lead the development of an enhanced control framework, focusing on risk identification, control design, and governance. You'll drive a continuous and integrated approach to risk assessment, ensuring real-time control issue detection and remediation. Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to create a proactive risk and control culture, and manage activities related to CORE, Risk Events, and Issues/Action Plans to reduce financial loss and regulatory exposure.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Create a proactive risk and control culture using proven evaluation strategies and change management protocols.
  • Review and analyze program-related data to support business programs and strategies.
  • Provide leadership for the execution of the Risk & Control Self-Assessment, including control breaks and resolutions.
  • Engage with control colleagues across the firm, including business, operations, legal, compliance, risk, audit, and technology functions.
  • Manage control-related activities, including CORE, Risk Events (RED), Issues/Action Plans, and testing.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 7 years of experience in financial services in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance.
  • Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts, with the ability to design and evaluate a Risk & Control Self-Assessment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Ability to make subjective and informed decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence business leaders.
