The summary above was generated by AI

DoubleZero Foundation is seeking a Contributor Program Manager to build and nurture relationships with the network contributors and resource providers who power the DoubleZero protocol. This role sits at the intersection of community engagement and infrastructure operations, working closely with the diverse set of parties – from high-frequency trading firms and bare metal providers to validators and institutional market participants – who contribute resources to DoubleZero's global network.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Own contributor communications and engagement. Serve as the primary point of contact for DoubleZero's network contributors across Slack, Telegram, and Discord. Manage day-to-day communications, ensure questions are answered promptly, and bubble up technical or strategic issues to the appropriate teams.

  • Manage contributor onboarding. Guide new contributors through the onboarding process, from initial interest through active participation. Develop and refine onboarding workflows and supporting assets to reduce friction and improve time-to-contribution.

  • Build and activate the contributor community. Foster deeper engagement with contributors beyond basic network participation – encouraging involvement in testing, tooling development, and operational responsibilities as DoubleZero decentralizes.

  • Lead contributor recognition and visibility. Establish programs that highlight contributors as domain experts and active builders of the DoubleZero network. Facilitate internal knowledge-sharing (spotlight sessions, brown bags, contributor talks) and external visibility (content, media, social, and events) to strengthen community bonds, elevate contributor voices, and reinforce ownership and pride in the network.

  • Develop and maintain documentation. Create and improve contributor-facing documentation, guides, and resources. Work with technical teams to ensure content is accurate, accessible, and actionable.

  • Coordinate contributor events. Partner with Marketing to plan and execute 1-2 contributor-focused events per year. Represent DoubleZero at industry events to engage potential contributors.

  • Define and measure contributor program success. Establish and track clear success metrics for the contributor experience, including onboarding efficiency, engagement depth, retention, satisfaction, and perceived value. Regularly assess what contributors gain from participating in DoubleZero and use insights to evolve programs, tooling, and support models over time.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience in community engagement, community management, or customer/partner success

  • Existing experience with infrastructure concepts (networking, data centers, or systems administration preferred)

  • Strong written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail

  • Experience managing communications across multiple platforms (Slack, Telegram, Discord)

  • Comfort engaging with technical audiences and translating between technical and business stakeholders

  • Business development exposure or interest is a plus

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Relationship-builder. You genuinely enjoy connecting with people, understanding their needs, and helping them succeed.

  • Organized and responsive. You can manage communications across multiple channels and parties without letting things slip through the cracks.

  • Technically curious. You don't need to be an engineer, but you're eager to learn how networks, infrastructure, and distributed systems work.

  • Proactive communicator. You anticipate information needs and push relevant updates before being asked.

  • Growth-oriented. You see this role as a stepping stone toward deeper business development or ecosystem responsibilities.

  • Scrappy and adaptable. You thrive in early-stage environments where processes are still being built and priorities shift quickly.

ABOUT DOUBLEZERO

DoubleZero is a high-performance, permissionless global network purpose-built for distributed systems. The mission is simple: increase bandwidth and reduce latency.

DoubleZero increases bandwidth by filtering junk data that currently plagues validators and other network operators. DoubleZero reduces latency by connecting these filters via underutilized private fiber links, forming a mesh network. By combining these improvements and routing the right data through optimized, low-latency paths, the DoubleZero protocol empowers blockchains and other systems to achieve performance levels previously impossible.

In short, DoubleZero is a new Internet for distributed systems. It is supported by many independent contributors. Among them, DoubleZero Foundation drives the adoption, decentralization, security, and advancement of the protocol. Malbec Labs develops the technical components of the protocol itself. We look forward to hearing from you.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
