Position Summary

The Contract & Rebate Specialist works with distributors on contracts and rebates and builds strong working relationships with dealers and vendors. This role processes NDC rebate requests for both internal special NDC pricing and rebates for end-user sales through NDC Dealers, coordinates and tracks membership eligibility for the company's rebate programs, and resolves issues arising from vendor denials of rebate claims or membership. The Specialist partners closely with the Contract Department to process sales and rebate contract data accurately, resolve disputes, and maintain the integrity of contract and eligibility records.


Key Responsibilities

Contract & Rebate Processing

  • Maintain contracts and perform the rebate process for assigned vendors, including both internal special NDC pricing and rebates for end-user sales through NDC Dealers
  • Complete new customer set-up requirements
  • Perform data entry and upload of contract and rebate data

Membership Eligibility & Data Integrity

  • Coordinate and track contract member eligibility
  • Validate contract and rebate data
  • Audit contract files regularly for unassigned contracts, contracts nearing expiration, and duplicate records

Dispute Resolution & Vendor Denials

  • Complete the rebate dispute process and perform request analysis for assigned vendors
  • Reconcile issues that result in vendor denials of rebate claims or membership
  • Resolve exception issues and offer resolution services to trading partners

Billing & Reconciliation

  • Issue invoices related to rebate processing
  • Issue and reconcile rebate credits and debits to all trading partners for rebates, special pricing terms, and marketing promotions

Communication & Administrative Support

  • Monitor the Contracts inbox and route messages to the proper resource
  • Provide feedback to the department head on workflow progress and provide administrative support to the department
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a high school diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Knowledge of healthcare contracting preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Excel data analysis
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills
