In the near term, you'll stabilise and improve existing processes; over time, you'll evolve our CLM setup, build AI-driven workflows, and act as a trusted commercial partner across Sales, Finance, HR, Security, Product, and Marketing.

You should be comfortable building with AI - creating prompts, automations, and skills - not just using it as a chat tool. Experience evolving CLM platforms with AI-driven capabilities is a strong advantage.

Context & Impact:
We're hiring a Contracts & Legal Operations Specialist to work at the heart of Lansweeper's commercial engine. In the near term, you'll stabilise and improve existing processes; over time, you'll evolve our CLM setup, build AI-driven workflows, and act as a trusted commercial partner across Sales, Finance, HR, Security, Product, and Marketing.
The main challenges you'll face are:
- Building legal ops without a playbook - there's no established team or rigid process to inherit; you'll define, build, and continuously improve the function as the business scales.
- Cross-timezone collaboration with Belgium HQ** - you'll work closely with the Legal Director and Corporate Counsel based in Belgium, which requires early US morning availability and strong async communication habits.
- Keeping pace with AI-driven contract tooling** - you'll own and evolve our CLM platform, automation workflows, and clause playbooks in a fast-changing legal tech landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, negotiate, and close standard commercial agreements independently - including NDAs, order forms, and customer, partner, and vendor agreements - from first draft to signature.
- Review and finalise AI-generated first-pass redlines and clause extractions on incoming contracts before they go out to counterparties.
- Own contract automation and playbooks: maintain clause libraries and templates, and add new agreement types as the business evolves.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle: intake, repository, renewals, approvals, and terminations, and track and report on contract metrics.
- Coach commercial teams on standard terms and redlines so routine deals close without legal needing to touch every file.
- Collaborate with Sales and Deal Desk to streamline deal cycles, and drive legal ops projects including CLM/tool migrations and AI-driven process setup.
Key Requirements:
Hard Skills:
- 5+ years in contracts, legal operations, or deal desk in a SaaS/tech environment - no law degree required, but strong contract review and legal ops focus is essential.
- Proven track record negotiating commercial agreements directly with customers, partners, and suppliers.
- Technical contract fluency: security addenda, SLAs, API/integration terms, and complex partnership contracts such as OEM agreements.
- Working knowledge of data protection, IP/IT law, and corporate matters - enough to spot issues and inform contract review.
- Experience with CLM platforms (e.g. DocuSign) and/or CRM/ticketing tools such as Salesforce or Jira is a strong plus.
Soft Skills:
- High ownership and autonomy - self-directs priorities, collaborates cross-functionally, and escalates judgment calls appropriately.
- Pragmatic, business-first risk mindset - you find ways to say yes safely, not reasons to say no.
- Sharp stakeholder communicator, comfortable working across Commercial, Finance, Security, HR, Product, and Marketing.

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.
Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech
- Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
- Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
- Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
- Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
