The Contracts Data Analyst is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant contract reporting and analytics in support of program, finance, and leadership stakeholders. Striving for 100% compliance, the Data Analyst collects, validates, and analyzes data and prepares reports in accordance with each contract’s specific requirements. This role partners closely with Program Management, Business Operations, and technical teams to ensure reporting obligations are clearly understood, data integrity is maintained, and reporting processes scale effectively. The analyst continuously improves and documents reporting workflows, driving operational efficiencies and repeatable processes that support successful execution of each new contract award.
Primary Position Tasks:
- Deliver accurate, high-quality, and compliant contract reporting in accordance with contractual requirements and internal standards, ensuring all reports are submitted on time.
- Partner closely with Program Managers to understand reporting obligations for each new contract, including data elements, formats, frequency, and compliance considerations.
- Develop and implement reporting solutions for new contracts by leveraging existing data sources whenever possible; collaborate with Business Operations and technical teams when system enhancements or new data integrations are required.
- Maintain and continuously improve reporting processes to increase efficiency, consistency, and scalability across the contract portfolio.
- Document and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each contract report to ensure repeatability, audit readiness, and knowledge continuity.
- Proactively identify, investigate, and communicate data gaps, data integrity concerns, and process risks; partner with stakeholders to implement corrective actions and long-term improvements.
- Provide ad hoc reporting support and perform other related business duties as assigned to meet evolving program and organizational needs.
Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Preferred Education/Certification/Experience:
- Experience with reporting for Federal or State and Local Contracts
- Experience with Tableau
- Tableau Certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision
- Self-motivated with the ability to proactively assist their team(s)
- Ability to maintain accuracy under a heavy workload
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work well on a team
- Working knowledge of Tableau and Microsoft Office
Essential Elements:
This position is an office position that requires remaining in a stationary position for multiple hours throughout the workday.
This position requires the ability to continuously communicate with co-workers throughout the day utilizing Red River approved and/or provided communication tools and equipment.
