Legal Commercial Vendor Management Team

The Contracts Manager plays a vital role in supporting HubSpot's legal and procurement processes by focusing on the legal aspects of vendor agreements and Commercial Vendor Management (Comm-VM) workflows. This position acts as a crucial link between Comm-VM, Security, and Procurement teams, ensuring legally sound vendor contracts and efficient processes. The role also involves training internal stakeholders on contract terms and legal requirements, and increasingly, managing AI-related contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and support the negotiation of vendor agreements, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and business needs.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on contract terms, legal requirements, and company contracting policies.
  • Act as a liaison between Comm-VM and Procurement, facilitating communication and ensuring workflow alignment.
  • Prepare reports and summaries of contract data for leadership review.
  • Develop, maintain, and update team SOPs, playbooks, and Wiki descriptions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance contract efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Research and manage legal and contractual implications of AI technologies in vendor agreements.
  • Maintain accurate records and status updates in the contract management system.
  • Escalate non-standard issues to legal counsel for review and resolution.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, legal studies, finance, supply chain management, or a related field. (Advanced degrees like MBA or JD are beneficial).
  • Demonstrated experience in legal contract administration, procurement, or a related field, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, terms, and conditions.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication (written and verbal), and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contracts.
  • Willingness to learn about and adapt to AI technology and its contractual impacts.
  • (Optional) Certifications: Certified Commercial Contract Manager (CCCM) or Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM).
