This position is contingent upon contract award

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support new and follow-on acquisitions, source selection, and the acquisition process for all NRO Booster acquisitions and for OSL non-LV acquisitions, as directed, including all levels of managerial review

  • Draft technical evaluations for engineering change proposals (ECPs); interface between multiple stakeholders and SV-Support related functions to include: contract change coordination and integration of cost, schedule, and technical requirements

  • Assist the government in identifying and procuring launch service options for small satellites and cubesats as a rideshare or dedicated mission

  • Draft requirements definition, scope of work, verification and validation requirements, acquisition estimates, schedule, and source selection documentation

  • As an advisor, provide technical evaluation of proposals. Assess and make recommendations on the availability and suitably of workload data from Contractor Systems

  • Draft/Develop and review projects, plans, Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and work packages for technical, requirement, and code compliance.

  • Maintain insight into space vehicle development activities to ensure NRO requirements are addressed and ensure OSL ability to support SV customers

  • Provide strategic planning support for OSL, to include monitoring strategic planning activities, future policy development, and appropriate architectural initiatives being conducted by the offices and directorates within the NRO as well as by external organizations which interface with OSL. Identify impacts and develop implementation approaches for OSL within the context of these activities

Qualifications Required:

  • Master’s degree with over 15 years of experience

  • 8 years of NRO experience

  • TS/SCI with polygraph; ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility and access

  • Develop trusted relationships with Government leaders and with mission partners

  • Flexible systems thinker with the ability to deliver results quickly

  • Self-starter with effective time management skills

  • Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational and communication skills, effective and clear written (and oral) communication ability, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills

Desired:

  • Master’s degree with over 20 years of applicable experience

  • 10 years of NRO experience

  • PMP Certification

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and flex to the execution of multiple mission sets across a diverse set of programs and tasks

Scheduled Weekly Hours:

  • 40 Standard; with the exception of when support is required for launch activities

Basic Compensation:

$87,100 - $130,600

This range is for the Colorado area only

Basic Compensation:

$95,400 - $143,100

This range is for the Los Angeles area only

Basic Compensation:

$91,200 - $136,800

This range is for the Santa Barbara area only

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
