The Role:

The Social Media Manager will play a critical role in shaping the branding of both our e-commerce and media businesses with effective storytelling. You will exercise your creative muscles to develop innovative social media strategies that will help grow our existing communities across StackCommerce owned and operated properties. You will be responsible for creating the content strategy, writing copy, scheduling engaging posts, and monitoring performance. 

What You'll Do:

  • Lead, develop, and launch social media strategies and campaigns across StackSocial, The Futurist, and other core properties on platforms not limited to Instagram and Facebook
  • Partner with the leads of each of our properties to create actionable strategies best suited for our brand voices and creative direction 
  • In collaboration with the Design team, oversee the creation and execution of the monthly editorial calendar to meet advertising and marketing initiatives
  • Work closely with Marketing and Media teams on brand building,​ lead generation, and monetization efforts
  • Supervise all aspects of social media interaction between followers and StackCommerce
  • Work closely with Customer Service team to report on customer complaints to ensure a positive customer service experience
  • Monitor growth and report on all platforms by using tools such as Google Analytics and Sprout Social
  • Develop monthly reports on emerging social media trends that will be submitted to the management and executive teams

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, journalism, public relations, or related field
  • 3–5 years of social media marketing experience
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Experience in building, executing, and scaling social marketing programs
  • Proficiency in social media management and posting platforms such as Sprout Social
  • Knowledge in best practices and up-to-date design needs/restrictions across social media platforms
  • Understanding of Google Analytics preferred

  • Homework Assignment: We send over a quick exercise that challenges you to solve a problem and come up with a creative solution. Get a feel for what you’ll be doing on a daily basis!
  • Remote-Team Interview: You’ll be meeting with a few team members on a video call. This is your chance to ask questions and see who this role interacts with on a daily basis.
  • Final Video Call: This is a great opportunity to get to know our COO or CEO over video.
