The Senior Copywriter will be responsible for writing copy for executions and channels including organic and paid social, product launches, mission campaigns, and video. You’ll play a key role in brainstorming, developing, and executing concepts that range from social posts to brand awareness campaigns. In this role, you’ll work closely with other writers, designers, and video editors, as well as key stakeholders across the mission, acquisition, and partnership marketing teams.
The ideal candidate brings the strategic, brand-first thinking of an agency copywriter coupled with a strong results-oriented approach. Requirements include a mastery of pithy, engaging copy; a strong knowledge of healthy living; a solutions-focused creative streak; and an ability to thrive alongside your co-workers in a fast-paced environment with a high bar for excellence. A successful candidate will take ownership of messaging strategy and execution for a channel and/or project, and contribute to the efficiency of the Content, Acquisition, and Creative teams by adding new ideas and approaches to meet Thrive Market’s marketing objectives. Experience with a variety of marketing touchpoints is essential, as is an ability to distill key messages down to their essence, no matter where those messages appear. Ultimately, the candidate for this role will help to develop standards, systems, and best practices by acting on marketing insights.
This role will report to the Senior Editor, Brand & Mission.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the Senior Editor to generate a strategic messaging approach for relevant channels/touchpoints
- Own the copy creation process for a variety of marketing channels/touchpoints, primarily organic social and paid social, with a strong support role for brand campaigns and video
- Communicate the Thrive Market mission and value proposition in an impactful, authentic way that improves engagement and generates leads
- Assist with short-form copy creation for other verticals as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years meaningful experience at an ad agency or in-house creative team with a strong focus on digital marketing
- Strong portfolio showing a variety of marketing executions with an emphasis on digital
- Mastery of standard English spelling, grammar, and style
- Excellent communication skills and ability to strike a balance between showing initiative and seeking input from others

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field
