About the Role

PaymentCloud is looking for a Freelance Copywriter to join our dynamic team. You will be under the direct supervision of the Director of Content Strategy. In this role, you will write blog articles averaging 1000 words relating to topics in Fintech and payment processing. The individual(s) we are looking for should have experience in content creation and an understanding of utilizing SEO best practices. Our compensation structure is per word.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Write multiple blog articles a week, maintaining the PaymentCloud brand voice

• Create copy for the site, emails, and digital ads

• Work with our internal content team to tell the best product and brand stories

• Communicate complicated payment topics in clear, concise ways to a non-technical audience

Minimum Requirements

• Exceptional writing skills that effectively convey complex topics

• Self-starter who can work independently

• Strong research skills

• An eye for detail

• Strong understanding of how to write for SEO

• Ability to embrace the PaymentCloud voice and help develop it

• 2+ years in communication

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience writing about the Fintech or payments industry

• 4+ years of experience in a professional writing role

• A growing portfolio that demonstrates your copywriting depth and range

• Working knowledge of best practices for common digital marketing communications

• Experience using task management software such as Trello
