What You’re Applying For:
The Associate Producer will play a crucial role in the growth of Edmunds’ newly formed Content Special Projects team. You will work alongside the supervising producer and the rest of the 40- strong Edmunds’ editorial team to create industry-leading content for our partner CarMax. You will also ensure that content is compelling and relevant to a target audience, as well as aligned with key metrics across YouTube channels and websites.
The ideal candidate should be extremely versatile, and should be experienced with a variety of different production formats. Having a solid knowledge of the automotive industry and what car shoppers care for and value most is a plus.
What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate productions on- and off-set (generate call call sheets, arrange lunches, secure permits etc).
- Liaison between location, freelancers and production.
- Process POs, invoices for freelancers and vendors.
- Work closely with the supervising producer during pre-production and production of shoots.
- Work with internal partners including the Edmunds’ written, strategy and social teams to maximize the success of the content across YouTube, client sites and social platforms.
- Support the supervising producer and/or field producers as an on-set contact for any concerns during the day.
- Take last-minute changes to the schedule/call sheet/location and distribute to the crew and production team.
- Run errands as needed in support of production efforts.
- Assist producer on set with any requested tasks, which could include anything from paperwork to labor.
- Arrange travel to/from shoots, scheduling of production meetings.
- Reconcile budgets with producers at completion of each project.
- Assist in management of all invoicing and cash-flow management on each project.
What You Need:
- Understanding, interest and experience in technical production and execution.
- Capable of balancing multiple projects simultaneously, with strong emphasis on organization and attention to detail.
- Experience in client relations and management.
- A good creative eye with an ability to input into the creative process.
- Experience in coordinating field production shoots, supporting producers.

- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-based, constantly evolving environment while remaining organized and detail-oriented.
- Consistent track record of displaying leadership qualities, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Google Suite/ Microsoft Office.
