We are Mythical Games. A Venture-backed next-generation game technology company at the intersection of video games and economics led by industry veterans. We are currently looking for a passionate, Associate 3D Artist to join our Design Team at Mythical Games. Responsibilities will include collaborating closely with the VFX Artist and a highly motivated creative team to produce quality 3D assets that define and expand the look of our game.

This is a unique opportunity to have a fundamental impact on our first game Blankos Block Party, and make positive and meaningful contributions to our game. 

Responsibilities

• Partner with Concept and VFX Artists to model, texture, and light 3D game assets including Props, Environments, and Characters
• Assist with developing and implementing assets in a live game environment
• Continuously learn and grow as an artist and developer

Requirements

• A degree in fine arts or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• A strong portfolio representing both 2D and 3D artwork that displays proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Autodesk Maya
• Strong UV and texturing skills
• Knowledge of Unity and production management tools
• Ability to work efficiently and communicate effectively as part of a team
• Well-developed experience working with lighting and shaders
• An exceptional eye for detail and ability to raise the quality bar
• Core artistic principles including light/color, composition, structure, and perspective
• Substance Painter, ZBrush, and Cinema 4D knowledge is a plus
• Interest in vinyl toys and popular culture also a plus
