We are hiring a Technical Writer to work on a pivotal Federal program that is positively impacting millions of Americans' daily lives.

What you'll be doing:

As a Technical Writer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting clear, concise, and engaging user experiences for users. You will collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure that our digital products are intuitive, accessible, and meet the needs of our users. 

What you’ll bring:

  • Writing and editing plain language text in digital products (like online forms, apps, or other online services) describing complex government services
  • Writing clear, concise documentation on technical systems - ie:
    • Documentation on how to connect to particular database systems
    • Potential thoughts on how to optimize your applications
    • How to interact with teams security boundaries (ie what roles will we establish technically for your team)
    • Writing comprehensive code examples in many different programming languages - allowing developers on the platform to get off to a strong start.
  • Experience utilizing Figma 
  • Proficiency in SQL, R and Python for code snippets is highly desired
  • Experience collaborating with SMEs, interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
  • Auditing content and working within complex information architecture
  • Ability to carefully follow detailed content style guides and design systems

Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen and able to work domestically 
  • Must be able to attain low-level security clearance 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Compensation:

At Oddball, it’s important each employee is compensated competitively and fairly. In alignment with state legal requirements. A range for the included position is listed below. Be advised, actual offer details are determined by job category, job location, and candidate skill level.

United States Wage Range: $105,000 – $130,000
