Position Description

We're looking for a Content Writer to serve across various clients. This person will write everything from optimization briefs to fully executed articles, video scripts, and infographic text.

This is a role for someone who can hold two audiences in mind at once. You know how to write content that performs — for search engines, answer engines, and AI-driven discovery — without sacrificing the craft that makes content worth reading. You've seen how content workflows are changing and you're energized by it, not threatened. iPullRank believes in “human in the loop” workflows wherever AI is used in content creation, and you’re excited to be a part of that and evolve your best practices along with the technological advancements.

Salary range:

  • Full-time remote role with an annual salary of $70-$79K
  • Candidates must be U.S.-based and willing to work East Coast hours, with meetings between 9am and 5pm EST.

Reporting Structure:

  • This position reports to the VP of Content and does not have direct reports.
What You’ll Do:
  • Responsible for content creation of a variety of text-based digital content.
  • They will work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, coordinating with editors, writers, and the content project manager.
  • Optimize existing content for clients for the purpose of content relevance and authority
  • Research and develop content briefs for net new content creation.
  • Contribute to editorial guidelines and playbooks for client engagements.
  • Research content-related trends for POVs, blog posts, and weekly staff meetings.

RequirementsRequirements
  • Minimum 5-7 years hands-on digital writing experience
  • Reporting experience and knowledge of fact-checking best practices
  • Comfort and experience with “human-in-the-loop” content creation processes and a willingness to evolve and grow alongside the technology
  • Experience with both SEO — from hands-on keyword research to best practices for 2026 — and the growing field of AIO, as well as enough interest in both to stay on top of evolving industry best practices
Skills of interest:
  • Meticulous attention to detail and grammar
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Ability to write clear, engaging copy — regardless of subject matter
  • Agility in storytelling skills, jumping from a long-form feature to a short-form news item or detail-filled e-book without missing a beat
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to cooperate effectively with staff and freelancers alike in a remote work environment
  • Preferred, but not required: experience in writing about technology and/or finance

Benefits
  • Competitive salaries commensurate with experience
  • 100% Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • 3 weeks of vacation
  • Paid sick days and holidays

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
