Position Overview

The Sr. Director of Content will drive the vision, development, and delivery of clinical content that powers Rialtic’s innovative, product-led claims editing platform. This is a foundational leadership role within a high-growth startup, requiring a dynamic leader who blends thought leadership with decisive execution, thrives in ambiguity, and builds structure in fast-evolving environments.

We're looking for a hands-on, forward-thinking leader who understands the payer-centric landscape, embraces new ways of working, and brings a sharp sense of tempo and adaptability to everything they do. This person will help reimagine how content is created, deployed, and governed — using modern tooling, including AI-enabled solutions, to scale effectively.

Success in this role demands both creativity and rigor, a collaborative spirit, and a mindset oriented around continuous innovation. You will work cross-functionally to embed content into product, engineering, compliance, and go-to-market efforts, ensuring a consistent, high-value experience for our customers.

Key ResponsibilitiesThought Leadership & Vision
  • Shape and evangelize a modern clinical content strategy aligned with Rialtic’s product roadmap and growth goals.
  • Drive an intentional shift from traditional rules management to payer-informed, experience-centric content design.
  • Lead the creation of clinical content that enhances usability, supports client success, and reflects the real-world priorities of healthcare payers.
  • Collaborate closely with products to ensure clinical edits directly improve platform engagement and customer outcomes.
  • Introduce scalable, AI-enabled approaches to content design, validation, and deployment.
  • Build tooling and workflows in partnership with engineering to streamline how content is managed and delivered.
  • Maintain a strong sense of speed of play — balancing urgency with quality.

What you’ll do:

  • Operate as a connective tissue between product, engineering, compliance, operations, and customer teams.
  • Translate clinical and policy expertise into frictionless, scalable platform features.
  • Grow and lead a high-performing team of content analysts and portfolio managers.
  • Serve as a player-coach, creating an environment of ownership, resilience, and high accountability, without micromanaging.
  • Foster a culture of continuous feedback and learning, informed by user data and client insights.
  • Proactively incorporate external changes into the content roadmap and act as a credible voice with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with data science to identify gaps and refine content using real-world signals — including error rates, reimbursement variances, and utilization anomalies.
Who You Are
  • 15+ years of payment integrity experience
  • A confident, empathetic leader with a bias toward action and a deep commitment to outcomes.
  • Open-minded and curious, always testing new ways of working and thinking.
  • Highly collaborative but comfortable making independent, high-quality decisions.
  • Passionate about building tools and content that create tangible value in the payer-provider ecosystem.
  • Thrives in a startup culture — balancing intensity with humor, humility, and flexibility.
  • Deep knowledge of payer-side claims processes and rules management
  • Ability to translate clinical/policy content into product features
  • Content Development & Management
    • Experience leading content design, validation, and governance at scale
    • Familiarity with AI-enabled tooling and workflow automation

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
