We're looking to bring on a fractional project manager/operations expert to support our content team with improving workflows, prioritization, and decision-making. Our team is creative and mission-driven to improve student outcomes, but we could use additional structured support to scale effectively and manage complexity.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a thought partner to improve team clarity, planning, and communication
  • Partner with team leads to streamline content development workflows and introduce operational best practices
  • Build scalable systems in Google Sheets and other tools (e.g., Asana, no-code apps, etc.) to support content planning, tracking, and reporting
  • Develop simple, repeatable project tracking processes to clarify ownership, deadlines, and priorities
  • Help the team prioritize projects using data-informed decision-making frameworks
  • Identify process gaps and implement lightweight solutions to reduce friction and increase output quality
  • Introduce documentation habits and process libraries to reduce knowledge loss and improve onboarding

Initial Projects May Include:

  • Supporting content development with project tracking and workflow design
  • Building a content data content library and creating a dissemination system for internal teams
  • Supporting in the designing of a scalable system to assist with teacher matching 
  • Developing a centralized database and streamlined processes for content management
  • Creating systems to reduce manual costs and increase efficiency in student progress monitoring
Requirements
  • Strong experience in operations, project management, or program design, especially in education or content-heavy environments
  • Bonus: skillset in either building or implementing educational content and curricula
  • Bonus: experience teaching, building, or implementing early literacy content or curricula
  • Proficient with Google Sheets, including formulas, pivot tables, and data tracking systems
  • Comfortable with project management tools (e.g., Asana) and no-code platforms (e.g., Airtable, Notion, Zapier)
  • Ability to create clear, scalable systems in messy, fast-moving contexts
  • Skilled at simplifying complexity and building clarity in team workflows
  • Experience with documentation and knowledge management best practices
  • Strong communicator who can influence without authority and work collaboratively across teams
