About the Role

The Content Production Specialist is a hands-on creative producer responsible for bringing The Lighthouse's stories, events, members, and brand to life through compelling visual content.

This is a highly versatile role for someone who is equally comfortable behind a camera, in an editing suite, designing social assets, or capturing content in the moment. You'll produce original content, support member storytelling, and create marketing assets that showcase the energy and creativity of The Lighthouse community.

Working closely with the Head of Content & Art Director, you'll manage projects from concept through delivery, ensuring all content is executed to a high creative standard and aligned with our brand vision.

  • Edit short-form and long-form content for social, digital, editorial, and marketing channels.
  • Create supporting creative assets including social graphics, thumbnails, presentations, event promotions, and marketing materials.
  • Support content production from planning through delivery, including scheduling, equipment setup, media management, and quality control.
  • Maintain and organize media libraries, assets, and production workflows.
  • Collaborate with marketing, creative, editorial, and member teams to bring ideas to life.
  • Capture behind-the-scenes content and identify opportunities for spontaneous storytelling.
  • Troubleshoot production, technical, and logistical challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stay current on creator trends, emerging platforms, and evolving production technologies.
What We're Looking For
  • 3-5 years of experience in content production, creative operations, media production, or a related field.
  • Strong photography, videography, and editing skills with experience creating content for social and digital platforms.
  • Proficiency with professional production equipment including cameras, lighting, audio, and editing tools.
  • Experience creating content within established brand guidelines while maintaining a strong creative eye.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with tools such as DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Creative Cloud, Frame.io, Dropbox, Figma, and Google Workspace.
Who You Are
  • Passionate about creators, storytelling, and creative culture.
  • Curious, adaptable, and excited by new technologies and creative tools.
  • Comfortable moving between strategy, production, and execution.
  • A team player who thrives in collaborative environments.
  • Committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming creative community.
  • Someone who cares deeply about quality, craft, and helping great ideas come to life.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
