About the Role

Most companies treat content as a traffic play. We treat it as how creators decide whether to trust us. Uscreen is looking for a Senior Content Marketing Manager who lives in the creator economy and knows how to write for it. You own the blog, the newsletter, and the SEO strategy behind both. You work with an external content agency and hold the bar on quality, relevance, and performance.

This is not a content coordinator role. You are the editorial voice of Uscreen for creators, entrepreneurs, and small business owners who build with video.

You report to the Sr. Manager, Performance Marketing.

What You'll Do

  • Own the Uscreen blog end-to-end: editorial calendar, briefs, editing, publishing, and performance
  • Drive SEO strategy in partnership with Growth Marketing Lead: keyword research, on-page optimization, content gap analysis, and ranking improvements
  • Manage and lead our Search agency partnership to scale great content: set direction, write strong briefs, edit to a high bar, and proactively equip them with the context they don’t have by connecting them to the right internal people, insights, and source material.
  • Write and publish SEO content pieces yourself (in addition to managing agency output)
  • Own the creator economy newsletter: concept, copy, cadence, and performance
  • Partner with PMM to make sure content reflects current positioning and ICP messaging
  • Track organic performance and tie content output to top-of-funnel business impact
  • Own & use AI based workflows to move faster without sacrificing quality. Drive the evolution and growth of how this role leverages an AI-native content & SEO program.
  • Provide content & editorial support for Product Marketing & Growth Marketing teams

You'll Likely Succeed If

  • You understand the creator economy. Not just the vocabulary. The actual jobs, struggles, and decisions creators face.
  • You are a strong editor first. You can take good writing and make it sharp.
  • You know SEO deeply and have real working understanding of how AI/LLM discovery is changing the game. You treat Search Marketing as a real distribution strategy, not a checklist.
  • You have managed an agency or freelance writers and know how to get great work out of them.
  • You connect content to outcomes. Organic traffic, lead quality, newsletter engagement. You track what matters.
  • You are hands on and fast. You write, edit, brief, and publish. You do not wait for direction.
  • You have experience setting up and/or managing automated or semi-automated content pipelines that connect AI, SEO, and publishing tools (n8n, Zapier, LLM-based pipelines via Claude/ChatGPT, or similar).

Why This Matters

Creators research before they buy. They read, compare, and decide long before they ever talk to sales. The blog and newsletter are where Uscreen earns that trust.

This role shapes how tens of thousands of creators understand what Uscreen is, who it is for, and why it is the right choice for building a video membership business.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
